Grant Dunnington

Chairman

Managing Director of SBV Services (Pty) Ltd in Johannesburg. He completed a B.Com degree at the University of Natal in 1983 and an Executive Management Programme postgraduate qualification from The University of Cape Town. He is also a Chartered Associate of the Institute of Bankers.

Shad Mapetla

Deputy Chairman

CEO of Biotech Laboratories. He gained a chemistry BSc degree from the University of Lesotho, and subsequent degrees, including a Chemistry Masters, from universities in the USA.

Malose Kekana

Served as the CEO of the Umsobomvu Youth Fund and is also the founder of Prodigy Capital and Prodigy Asset Management, and is the Deputy Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Investment Committee at Black Management Forum Investment Company.

Hon. Madam Justice Mashangu Monica Leeuw

Appointed South Africa’s first woman Judge President in April 2010. She graduated with a B Proc from the University of the North in 1976,and was elevated to the bench in 1999 and has served as a High Court Judge in the North West Judicial Division ever since.

Professor Andy Mogotlane

Emeritus Vice Principal at the University of Pretoria. He gained his medical degree from the then University of Natal, and has also studied at institutions in Scotland. Although he has now retired from active academic duty, he still practises as a general surgeon.

Robert Likhanya

Started his working career in 1977 as a school teacher. He has held senior positions in the Nedbank Group. He holds a BA degree and a BA Honours in Education from UNISA.

Dr Nkaki Matlala

Qualified general surgeon and Director of Government and Stakeholder Relations at Mediclinic Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd, and at the Hospital Association of South Africa. He is also Chairman of Phodiso Holdings (Pty) Ltd.

Professor Mahlo Mokgalong

ex officio

Served as acting, then interim, and finally substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University of Limpopo since the beginning of 2003. He studied biological science at the university he now leads.

Professor Chris de Beer

ex officio

Interim Vice-Chancellor of the Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University. He is a distinguished legal academic and advocate and has extensive administrative experience at both the erstwhile Potchefstroom University and the University of Pretoria.
